Arts Collinwood Gallery is pleased to present, artist/writer Dan Tranberg’s first solo exhibition in eight years.

Arts Collinwood Gallery continues its 2010 season with an exhibition of new work by artist/writer, Dan Tranberg. This new body of work represents Tranberg’s concentration on the idea of encouraging intimate viewing of abstract forms and spaces as a ...means of reinvigorating a connection to visual phenomena. Rather than relying on grand gestures, Tranberg creates subtle visual enigmas within small, reductive compositions that often hover between graphical and three-dimensional representations of space. While this new work could be perceived a response to our quick-paced era of easy and disposable digital images, the artist states, “I am interested in creating works that encourage a deeper, slower, and more careful consideration of visual perception and our relationship to the visible world.”
The exhibit opens with a wine and tapas reception at Arts Collinwood, Friday October 22 from 6-9pm.
